Do you still wear a suit?
Worst period of my working life having to dress up like a fucking peacock every day just to work in an office with a dozen or so similarly dressed twats.

Black whistle for funerals and a dark blue one for weddings. They must be too big for me now as I've lost a couple of stone since I last wore one. Otherwise never.

Some fucking trumpet who sits in front of me in the Bobby Moore wears a suit to West Ham. Even Saturdays and Sundays.

Shirt, trousers and shoes for one project in Vietnam

From a track perspective of a project you have to make you presence felt on site regularly as they nod their heads in meeting and do nothing on site

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
I live in shorts and t-shirts. I'm a permanent home worker, and if I tried to wear an old suit, I doubt I'd be able to get it past my hips.

Not since I left the travel industry last October for the building site

Not any more, since I started working more locally.
Jeans and a polo/shirt for me, with a nice pair of chukka or desert boots.
Blazer from the autumn when it gets a bit parky.

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
Had a couple when I was a full on Moddy boy... couple of Melandi specials...side vents... 15" bottoms... dark blue... handsome.. tonic one as well...

Since then I have one black suit used for funerals and court appearances... otherwise I go to work in shorts... I sit at home wearing shorts... I go to bed wearing shorts... I don't do suits

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
I like wearing a suit but I am sat at my desk in the office wearing shorts and a polo shirt today. I suppose that will change after 19 July and we start returning to normality.

Wearing a suit will remain rare though I think and probably more social than work related.

I did buy a smart jacket / blazer recently so I can be smart at work without having to go down the suit route.

Working in a school I still have to wear a cunting suit.

Women teachers can basically wear what they want. Men have to wear suit.

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
Fucking despise wearing suits - only at funerals I’d wear one or as part of a wedding party.

Horrendous, restrictive things.

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
WFH - Shorts/Jeans and a tee/Jumper
Office for everyday - Shirt or Polo and Chinos
Office for meeting - Suit and open neck Shirt
Weddings and Funerals - Tie

Since lockdown - its been all WFH except one funeral.

Not since lockdown last year.

but I never did mind, nice to have a different set of smart clothes for work.

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
funeral last week - first time wearing suit and tie in about a year (since the last funeral)

May sound strange, but while i like the flexibility of wfh - i do sometimes miss the structure of a typical work day. I would get up at 5:30, go to the gym, suit in carrier etc.

something about a nice suit, polished shoes, decent tie - not for everyday, but it has its place.

Re: Do you still wear a suit?
Not generally. I dress in smart casual business attire whilst working from home. Employees in the corporate HQ for the multinational I am contracting with, like my boss, do tend to still wear suits, so after lockdown is fully over I guess I'll wear one for any business trips to stated corporate HQ (which is based outside of the UK).

I don't mind wearing a suit. Something old school and refined about it.

Not for a few decades thankfully.
